IBM Thinking of Virtual Passports  They aren't calling it that, of course, but the premise is roughly the same. IBM's vice president of standards and open source Bob Sutor has mentioned that the company is considering ways in which avatars might travel between virtual worlds while keeping their essential appearance and possessions intact.
